Skip & Go Naked

Skip & Go Naked
This is a great recipe for a refreshing summer drink. I found it in the Susan Branch Summer cookbook. I just made these for my mom and the recipe makes 2 large drinks.
2/3 cup cold beer (not a dark beer)
2/3 cup frozen pink lemonaide concentrate
1/4 cup vodka
1/2 blender full of ice.
Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until ice is chopped and drink is smooth and frothy. Top with litle umbrellas for a special drink.

That sounds very good, next time I can get away with having a drink I'm going to have to try it!

Does it have a "beer" taste after it's all blended together? I don't particularly care for beer, but the recipe sounds good! Maybe I can try it with a lemon/lime soda?

Michelle,

I dosn't have a beer taste, it just makes the drink fizzy and frothy, it actually dosn't taste like there's vodka in it either, it tastes like frozen lemonaide. I'm sure you could use any kind of carbonated drink. You could even make it NA if you wanted.

The name grabbed me. :-) If you can't taste the beer and you can't taste the vodka, uh oh. Those are the drinks that sneak up on me. But this sounds like a great drink to take to the patio on a hot summer day. I'll try it. Soon as I get over my headache, I'll let you know how it was. :-)

Thanks for the tip Miranda - I think I will have to try this!

PS - I meant to tell you we got Kayla's bday card the other day! Thanks so much! I love the card! You did a great job on it!

And you and Rebecca did a wonderful job on your "blog makeover" - it looks great!

If you like the frozen lemonade taste, try this:
1 bottle of vodka
1 2 liter of mountain dew
1 can frozen lemonade
1 can frozen limeade
mix all together in a gallon container.....there is no alcohol taste ....it tastes like lemonade!!

My last post with the mountain dew recipe showed up as anonymous...I don't know why. I have been looking at the pics of you guys and Shaylee for a while now, but have never taken the time to respond. They are very cool.
